Municipality of Rethymno

Three Stakeholder Working Group Meetings about INCIRCLE project were organised by the Municipality of Rethymno. Stakeholders were informed about the project's objectives and activities as well as about Rethymno's role and contribution to the Project, the progress and the results of the previous meetings.

Region of Crete

Region of Crete organized two Stakeholder Working Group Meetings, with a focus on creating a common vision related to how a more sustainable and circular tourism in Crete might be like. After a summary of bottlenecks and challenges of development of circular tourism in Crete, the participants worked on sharing their ideas and best practices of a more sustainable and circular tourism, in terms of mobility, waste management, energy efficiency and water management.

Albanian Institute of Transport

The Albanian Institute of Transport organised the 2nd Stakeholder Working Group Meeting, with a focus on creating a common vision related to how a more sustainable and circular tourism in Albania might be like.

Agency of Tourism of the Balearic Islands and Palma City Council

Stakeholder Working Groups were also organised by the Agency of Tourism of the Balearic Islands (AETIB) and Palma City Council and provided interesting outcomes derived using the SWG 1st tool.

AETIB and Palma City Council hosted three SWG meetings which started the process to define the priorities of the Balearic Islands' tourism sector to be able to accordingly, adapt the policies to the actual needs of the territory.

INCIRCLE seeks to develop a strategic framework for the promotion of circular economy in tourism at different European destinations. The meetings were attended by a large group of representatives from the tourism sector at local and regional level, but also from other sectors related to circularity in its 4 pillars: energy, water, waste and mobility.

One more SGW meeting took place on the 10th June.
