INCIRCLE will select 6 territories which will undergo a process of creation or adaptation of territorial strategies to increase circularity and sustainability of their touristic sector, including the implementation of complimentary tailor-made testing activities that help them towards this direction.

In order to launch and promote this call, the project offered a webinar on the 15th of June. During this webinar, interested territories got an idea on the process they will undergo if they become an INCIRCLE replicating territory, which tools they will have available, which kind of support they will receive, results that they will obtain, etc.

A total of 63 people joined the webinar, most of which were from public administrations of potential replicating territories and from consultancies and academia. The answers provided through the mentimeter tool allowed us to know that less than half of the destinations that joined us already held a sustainable tourism strategy. This highlights the relevance of projects like INCIRCLE which support those territories in creating a sustainable and circular tourism strategy, or help those that already have one in the process of enhancing it and making it more circular. In addition, some bottlenecks to develop a circular tourism strategy were identified, among which: lack of information, political will or awareness or lack of finance, all of which will be addressed by INCIRCLE project.

If you are interested in knowing more about the tools that INCIRCLE offers, or to hear more about the call for replicators, you can access the video of the webinar through this link.
